Vintage Gates Rubber Company Wheels Tires Pair 6 X 1.50 Pedal Car

For sale is a pair of vintage wheels and tires from the Gates Rubber Company. These wheels have a diameter of 6 inches and a width of 1.50 inches (approximately see the photos for exact measurements) perfect for use in pedal cars or hand trucks. The brand of these wheels is a testament to their quality and durability. They are ideal for collectors of vintage toys and outdoor enthusiasts who want to add an authentic touch to their outdoor structures.
I purchased these for my stroller project for my daughter and unfortunately I needed slightly larger diameter wheels. I would love to hang onto them for the next project as they are very cool. The markings are perfectly legible. There is one paint spot on one of the tires. I didn’t try to clean is as I was unsure what it would do to the vintage rubber. I assume these are from the 50s or 60s perhaps earlier. They are solid rubber tires with a steel center wheel. The center bore is set up to accept a bushing for a 1/2 shaft, these did not come with bushings in them so those will need to be sourced but I located them fairly easily from McMaster Carr.
